• Romanticism is also known as the Romantic era
• Romanticism was an artistic, literary, musical and intellectual movement.    
• Peak of Romanticism is from 1800 to 1850.
• It is considered started with the publication of The Lyrical Ballads.
• Individualism and glorification past and nature is the key of Romanticism. 
• Romantic period is  partly a reaction to the Industrial Revolution.
• the movement was rooted in the 
• German Sturm und Drang movement influenced it too.
• French revolution had also great impact on Romanticism. 
• There were two Generation of poet 

          i  - first generation  ( Wordsworth, Coleridge , Southey)- Lake Poet 

         ii - second generation ( Byron , Shelley, Keats)

Peculiar quality of the poets :  

         Coleridge -           Wonderful music

         Wordsworth-       Simple and natural style

         Byron     -            Vigorous and oratorical style

         Shelley   -             Rich Harmony 

         Keats     -             Picturesque and word painting
